We present here a few key conversations or texts of Mother about Auroville. Whatever indications Mother gave about this project were never dogmatic or definitive. This is why it is so wrong to extract a few sentences and present them as her views on Auroville. Here Mother’s words are presented in their context, along with the questions that led to her answers. The large extracts allow the reader to enter into the true spirit of Auroville, which is a spirit of progress where nothing is ever dogmatic.
