Cheddar cheese, the most widely known and eaten cheese in the world is always made from cow's milk. It is a hard and natural cheese that has a slightly crumbly texture if properly cured and if it is too young, the texture is smooth. It gets a sharper taste as it matures over a period of time between 9 to 24 months.

About La Ferme Cheese
La Ferme Cheese, located in Auroville in the countryside near Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, started in 1988 to develop several types of artisanal cheeses. This means a small-scale production and no mechanization, allowing us to stay closely in contact with our customers and to respond to their feedback. We source our milk from domestic cows and small local farms to guarantee a better milk quality - no milk is sourced from intensive farming.
Big fan of La Ferme Cheese. I have friends who especially request me to get their cheeses whenever I visit Auroville.
