50 More Poems from Auroville
Aurovilians have always expressed themselves through their work – be it by planting trees, teaching children, or through dance, painting, and literature. Vikas Vickers, who has been connected to Auroville since the early beginning and who was given his name by Mother (Vikas, meaning Progress), has collected 50 more of these expressions into a second beautiful book of poetry.
Poetry has a central place in many spiritual traditions as a means of conveying the unspeakable inner experience of the seeker. This collection adds to the first one – ’50 Poems from Auroville’ – and spends a bit more time with its environment, India. A lovely read for a contemplative, rainy day.
