Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) meaning “Father Of All Foods“, is widely used in Ayurveda for treating various ailments. It grows up to 30 feet deep into the ground and stores many minerals that are present in deeper layers of soil. It is rich in several vitamins, such as vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin K, as well as zinc, carotene, iron, calcium, and potassium. It is also a good source of protein.
These minerals and vitamins play a vital role in strengthening the body, particularly promoting the growth of bones. Alfalfa is used for lowering cholesterol and blood sugar levels, alkalizing and detoxifying the body, particularly the liver and it is also said to be hormone balancing.

Usage: One measuring spoon (2g) with hot water or milk. Consume the entire amount or divide it into two or three doses throughout the day. Recommended daily intake of 1-6 grams and not recommended during pregnancy.
