It is common knowledge that our energy lowest at around 3pm, when our body craves for something to munch on.
One of the best snacks we have come across for battling this craving are nutrition-dense, raw super food balls. They are easy to prepare, and last a few days in the fridge.
The following recipe super easy, takes no more than 3 minutes to prepare, and requires no washing up (which we appreciate!).

What you need. (Makes 15–20 balls depending on the size).

  • 1 cup of dates

  • ¾ cup of almonds

  • ¾ cup of walnuts (or any other nut you like)

  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds

  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil

  • 1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder

Start by placing the almonds, walnuts and chia seeds in your food processor. Blend until the flour forms, and the nuts have crumbled. Then add the remaining ingredients (pit the dates before adding!). Blend for another minute until a sticky dough has formed.
Use your hands to roll the mixture into little balls, place in a container and store in the fridge.

Enjoy (and try not to eat them all at once…)!
