Packing Cookies for the Holidays!

Luise and Ágúst are back with another charming holiday DIY. This time they wrapped up some cookies and Ágúst is here to tell us how they made these simple treats look so cute!

Hello! Luise and I bake cookies sometimes and Luise had this fantastic idea that we could take the cookies and pack them in something of our own (hand crafted) design. So here are two different ways you can pimp up your holiday cookies!

Boxed up cookies

We started with gathering our materials, which were:

 • Old boxes
 • Paintbrushes
 • Some string
 • Thick paper
 • Paint
 • Pens
 • Scissors
 • Self adhesive tape
 • Tiny bells

Then we coated the boxes with paint and added some decorations onto them as well.

After that we cut out some thick paper and wrote a few festive words on them after which we stuck onto the boxes with some self adhesive tape. Then I cut out some Christmas baubles out of the paper, drew on them and stuck each one onto my box (with the self adhesive tape again) whereas Luise wrapped her box in some string with bells on it - just for something a little extra!

Now our cookies are nice and snug in beautiful boxes, ready for gifting!

Cookie jars
We used:

 • Jars
 • Old fabric
 • Some string
 • Thick paper
 • Tiny bells
 • Pens
 • Scissors
 • Self adhesive tape

We cut out circles of fabric (make sure the circles are much bigger than the lids of the jars), we cut out some of the paper to make labels and cut some string for later.

Then we wrapped the fabric around the lids with the string and attached the labels. Luise interlaced some the ends of her strings and attached bells to every end because she knows what she’s doing.

And there you go! That’s how we are presenting our homemade cookie presents this year. Is there something you would have done differently? Let us know with a comment below!
