Holiday Smoothie

Fight back the oncoming wave of unhealthy holiday foods with this super smoothie!

If you already indulged in cookies, cinnamon buns and hot chocolate and/or are about to feast on a hearty holiday banquet, you need to give your body some ammunition. Give it some nutrients, because your body can’t win this battle on its own.

Why not try this healthy smoothie? The flax seed meal is an excellent source of omega 3 and digestive fiber, while the moringa gives the smoothie an additional energy boost (along with vitamin C, B vitamins, protein and antioxidants!).

For about two glasses, you will need:
 • 1/2 cup cut and frozen bananas (already peeled)
 • 1 cup spinach
 • 1 tbsp flaxseed meal
 • 1 cup fruit juice
 • 1 tsp moringa powder (or as per taste) 

How to go about it:
Set half of the fruit juice to the side and combine the rest of the ingredients in a blender. The consistency may be too thick, depending on the water content of the berries you chose, so add in more and more fruit juice until the smoothie is of a desirable consistency.

Now drink up, get ready and go binge eating!
