When can I expect my parcel?
Most orders (unless otherwise indicated) are processed within 3-4 working days.
For orders shipped within India it takes 3-7 working days until delivery. If you live in a remote area, anticipate a few days more.
For international orders please give 10-21 days if sent via registered postal service and 7-10 days for EMS Speed Post.
In busy times of the year or in rare occasions registered parcel can take up to 4 weeks to arrive.
If you have not received your parcel within this time please contact us so we can track your parcel for you.
What forms of payment are accepted ?
There is an option to choose currency which allows you to pay in US Dollar, Euros, British Pounds or Indian Rupees. Payments are accepted via most credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and debit card (Delta, Switch, Solo and Visa Electron). Once you check out; in the Payment method there are three options to pay. FIRST: PayPal which includes PayPal accounts and all credit cards with Dollar, Euro and Pound currencies. SECOND: is HDFC Bank which accepts (all major currencies) and all credit cards and debit cards of HDFC and by choosing ‘OTHER BANK’ in this option you can use all other Indian Banks credit cards and most debit cards. THIRD: Is the option to pay through NEFT from your bank to HDFC or a bank direct deposit to the HDFC Bank whose details are sent to you if you choose this option of payment.
Is it safe to enter my credit card details online ?
When placing an order the information required to execute your order is captured in two steps: In the first step your order details, shipping and billing information is captured and stored on our server. Once this step is completed control is transferred to the payment gateway as per your choice (PayPal International or HDFC, our Indian Bank partner) which in turn will capture your credit card details. The communication with those servers is using a highly secure protocol (SSL with 128 bit encryption). The data thus captured is only known to the payment gateway and is NOT shared with us. We only receive confirmation that the debit to your debit or credit card was successful. Using SSL encryption also guarantees that no one else can tap into the communication and capture your data without authorization. The system we use is identical to that of most other online vendors worldwide.
Which countries do you ship to ?
We can ship to any country that has a postal service. All orders are despatched directly from our offices in India to your postal address so shipping is available worldwide.
What is a wishlist ?
Your wish list is a list of items that you would like to have but are not yet ready to purchase. This is a feature available for registered customers. When you find a product you like, you have the option to add it to your "wish list". This is an easy way to keep track of products you would like to buy at Auroville.com. You can also send your wishlist to a friend perhaps a week or so before your birthday or wedding anniversary!
What is your refund and returns policy ?
We will gladly refund you in full for any product you may purchase that you
are not completely happy with. Returns should be made within 15 days of
receiving your shipment. Certain products such as food items and
perishables can not be returned. Simply contact our customer care department
and they will advise you how to return your product. Once we received it, we
will refund your card in full. In the case of you returning only part of an
order, we will refund you for the items returned. Simple as that!
Where is Auroville ?
Auroville is located Tamil Nadu, just a few miles north from Pondicherry, on the South-East coast of India facing the Bay of Bengal to the East. It was founded in February 1968 by Mira Alfassa, the spiritual collaborator of the renowned Indian yogi and philosopher Sri Aurobindo. Auroville is the world's first and only internationally recognised community established for research in human unity. It practically researches into humanity’s future cultural, environmental, social and spiritual needs.
Do you accept Paypal ?
Yes we do accept Paypal and all forms of Payments that Paypal can process. Paying with Paypal offers protection for the buyer and seller and is 100% secure.

What should I do if I forget my password?
You can go the customer login page and click on the "Forgot password" link. You will get a form to complete and will be issued a new temporary password via Email. You can then login with this password and reset your password as you wish.
Will I be liable for customs charges when I order online?
Orders that are sent outside of INDIA may be subject to local import taxes, duties and fees levied by your country. Any such charges are to be borne by yourself as we have no control over these charges. Please check with your local postal authority / Customs office about such possible charges.
