Aurore's long experience with implementing challenging solar power pack projects across India has given it an expertise that has led to carbon companies in Europe looking to certify renewable energy projects and programmes for their Indian clients, request Aurore to carry out field inspections and verifications for them.
Aurore has executed voluntary emission verifications for solar home lighting systems and solar water heaters in rural and semi- urban parts of the state of Karnataka in southern India. Additionally, we are looking at creating mechanisms by which energy for low income groups can be subsidised through carbon credits.

Mission Tejas is an initiative to replace fossil fuel (KEROSENE) lighting in 85 million Indian households with cleaner and better lighting options - LED, CFL etc. Part of the mission's challenge is to also find/develop lighting products that are accessible and affordable to this particular segment.
An idea that we are considering is the creation of a system by which we could sell the carbon offsets generated by this campaign and use these funds to subsidise/reduce the retail price of clean light alternatives.
Aurore is a certifying authority and is associated with mentor certifying groups like Carbon Neutral of UK.
